The government of Ghana through Mustapha Ussif, the minister of youth and sports, has urged the senior national team, Ghana Black Stars to go and perform better as expected by Ghanaian football lovers and the entire populace.
According to the minister, the government has provided everything a team will need to fully deliver the needed performance expected of them.
Gone are the days when players complained and performed bad on the field of play as a result of some funds not given to them. However, the situation is not so with the Ghana Black Stars in the ongoing AfCoN 2022.
This development comes as a result of the abysmal performance put up in their first match against Morocco as well as in their second match against Gabon with no win in both matches. Many Ghanaians have due to their poor performance lashed them, and so it is not surprising for the minister of youth and sports to come out with this directive.
In his words, Mustapha said, “On our part as government, you can attest to it that we have done our part, because every single thing that we have to put in place, I have ensured His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made it available”.
The minister also added that “there is nothing for you to be worried about as far as financial and logistical issues are concerned. All we need is for you to deliver,”
The Black Stars led by captain Andre Ayew are expected to play Comoros on Tuesday at 7pm
